Rosemary Collier

Dr Rosemary Collier is Director of the Warwick Crop Centre and one of the first group of people to participate in the New Optimists Forum.

There’s a blogpost Professional muddy boots, vegans and West Midlands food security about my (Kate Cooper’s) meeting with her in September 2011.

She’s an entomologist whose main research interest is to model the relationships between insects and the environment, so knows a lot about pest management systems for agriculture, notably field vegetables and bulb crops.

She’s also developed weather-based forecasts of the timing of attack of several pests of field crops, four of which have been used commercially for a number of years.
