Mark Rutter

Dr Mark Rutter  is a contributor to the New Optimists Forum, participating on the event on 1st March 2012.

He’s Associate Head of Department, Head of Animal Welfare at Harper Adams University College. His main research interests are in animal preferences, from their evolutionary drivers to the use of preferences in the assessment of animal welfare.

His teaching duties include being leader on the adaptive biology, behavioural methodology and applied animal behaviour modules, and Module Tutor on the Principles of Animal Behaviour course.

He’s also Chair of the Research Ethics Committee.
