The brilliant Gapminder World has produced an Agriculture version. I strongly recommend you have a play with it — just click on the image to get to the relevant website.

The screenshot here illustrates, for instance, the growth of Egypt’s cereal production over some 40 years — roughly equal to the UK’s.

I’ve just run the software to explore the relative productivity over time of vegetable production in the UK, Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands. And very interesting it was too.
